Welcome to Store 54 ! YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS CO-OP

Store 54 opened on the 24th July 2007, and has enhanced the understanding of entrepreneurship to over 1000 local youth. Providing business start up assistance for more than 20 local youth.

This project builds awareness of entrepreneurship as a viable career option for youth in Collingwood and the Georgian Triangle. In addition to in-school and public workshops and presentations this project has implemented and coordinates a storefront operation, Store 54. Aspiring entrepreneurs with a business idea and a product or service to sell can utilize the store for 16 weeks of hands-on learning of entrepreneurial skills. This initiative operates like an “incubator without walls” and utilizes the knowledge of local advisors and mentors for the benefit of its, 15 – 29 yr old, participants.

Store 54 is funded in part by the Ministry of Small Business and Consumer Services through its Youth Entrepreneurship Partnership fund.
